RCPS Zena Warrior

Zena is out of our first foal crop after bringing home the herd from Rushcreek. Our dear friend Bonnie had chosen her as one of the foals she could pick from the herd as part of the arrangement in leasing the fabulous Zee Business–I started Zena under saddle at a clinic, and fell in love with her and was very sad to see her leave.

Years later, I think she wanted to come back to me and I had the chance to bring her home–she is quick, responsive and a blast to sort cows and calves on, and on trail you can barely tell she’s done any work–we have done a 25 miler together so far (she had had a little pastern injury due to some wire so I’m a little cautious with her–I just want to make sure she is going to be ok with distances before we expand further!)…I just love her, and it sure seems like she loves me too.

She’s home to stay, and I will have her pass on her genetics from Zee and Nattie someday, but in the meantime, I’m going to enjoy riding her beautiful gaits and spending time with her beautiful mind!
