We weren’t sure and still aren’t, but think that Jake is possibly going to be grulla in color–he’s had the dorsal stripe and the wild stripes on his legs with his beautiful color at birth–he’s out of Rushcreek Elin (Linnie) and Blackjack (Easter’s Cash O’lena) and is another of the pilot program with Rushcreek/Quarter crosses.

Growing up on pasture, he’s really starting fill out and become solid–I’m attributing that to his Quarter horse breeding–but he’s got the sweet temperament and intelligence of his dam, Rushcreek Elin.
